Short film selected as finalist for major international film festival
Our short film about the ERC IRMIDYN project has been selected as a finalist for the China Dragon Awards 2024, an event hosted by the China Science Film and Video Association as part of the China International Conference of Science and Education Producers.
Earlier this year, we were pleased to release our short film about the ERC IRMIDYN project. Working with independent filmmaker Marcus Tischner (external page Frisbee Medien, Germany), we released an outreach film that shows the IRMIDYN team at work in the laboratory and at one of the field sites in the German Wadden Sea. The film explains a new approach to study iron mineral transformations in soils and sediments and the relevance for understanding biogeochemical cycles.
Now we are pleased to announce that the film has been selected as a finalist for the China Dragon Awards 2024 at the China International Conference of Science and Education Producers. The winners due to be announced later this year.
In case you haven't seen it yet, you can still external page watch the full 15-minute long film on the YouTube channel of the ETH Zurich Department of Environmental Systems Science. For more information about the ERC IRMIDYN project see the webpage about the project.
