New publication examines stability and transformation of jarosite and Al-substituted jarosite in an acid sulfate paddy soil under laboratory and field conditions
The article in Geochimica and Cosmochimica Acta uses 57Fe-labelled jarosite and Al-jarosite to study how jarosite minerals transform in soil. The study demonstrates how the transformation products are dependent on the soil conditions and the pathways of transformation that occur within the soil matrix.
New study shows that coprecipitation with glucuronic acid limits reductive dissolution and transformation of ferrihydrite in an anoxic soil
The new publication in Environmental Science: Processes and Impacts examines the transformations of ferrihydrite and the effects of organic matter.
