Welcome Pierre!

We are very pleased to welcome Pierre Lefebvre to the Soil Chemistry team as a new postdoctoral researcher.

Enlarged view: Pierre in the field

Pierre is a French geochemist interested in the fate of metal contaminants in the environment. During his PhD at Sorbonne University (Paris, France), he studied the long-term fate of noncrystalline uranium phases in the soils and sediments of a lake watershed in France, by using a combination of various geochemical and mineralogical techniques including isotope geochemistry and X-ray absorption spectroscopy. He is looking forward to work on the IRMIDYN project and study the impact of iron mineral transformations on the behavior of trace elements in soils.
