Effect of NOM on copper sulfide nanoparticle growth, stability, and oxidative dissolution
A team from the ETH Soil Chemistry Group, including Kevin Hoffmann, Sylvain Bouchet, Iso Christl and Ruben Kretzschmar, collaborating with Ralf Kaegi from EAWAG, have published a new paper exploring the interactions of organic matter and copper sulfide nanoparticles in Environmental Science: Nano
Nitrite accumulation is required for microbial anaerobic iron oxidation, but not for arsenite oxidation in two heterotrophic denitrifiers
A team of scientists from Nanjing Agricultural Univeristy in China in collaboration with Ruben Kretzschmar and Laurel Thomas Arrigo from the ETH Soil Chemistry Group, have shown that Nitrite accumulation is required for microbial anaerobic iron oxidation, but not for arsenite oxidation in two heterotrophic denitrifiers, in a new publication in Environmental Science & Technology.
Luiza Notini joins the Soil Chemistry team
We are pleased to welcome Luiza to the Soil Chemistry group as a post-doctoral researcher on the ERC-IRMIDYN project.
Annual Snow and Fun Weekend
Our annual traditional Snow and Fun Weekend saw soil chemists and friends take to skis and snow shoes on the snowy slopes of Valbella-Lenzerheide.
